A video of Sherrone Moore with Paige Shiver has resurfaced online amid ongoing allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a staffer. The coach was fired on Wednesday by Michigan for cause, alleging him of an “inappropriate relationship with a staff member.”
Athletic director Warde Manuel announced Moore’s firing in a statement released on Wednesday, in which he wrote:
Thanks for the submission!
“U-M head football coach Sherrone Moore has been terminated, with cause, effective immediately. Following a university investigation, credible evidence was found that Coach Moore engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. This conduct constitutes a clear violation of university policy, and U-M maintains zero tolerance for such behavior.”

The university has not revealed the identity of the member of staff involved. However, the resurfaced video, with almost 3 million views on X, has started fueling serious speculations that Shiver is the member of staff in question.
While this has not been substantiated, Moore has since been arrested and put in custody after his termination by Michigan. It is not clear yet whether the 39-year-old will be charged, as the investigation is still ongoing on the matter.
Shiver has not issued any statement confirming or denying the speculations, while she has reportedly kept her social media accounts private. She works as an executive assistant to the Michigan football coach, according to the University of Michigan athletics division website.
A 2016 Chicago Bears publication identifies her as the daughter of Bears scout Jeff Shiver. The publication reported that she was diagnosed with a rare progressive disorder known as Pompe disease. The disorder only affects about 1 in 40,000 people and disables the heart and skeletal muscles.
How Sherrone Moore’s tenure as Michigan head coach went
Sherrone Moore’s two-year tenure as Michigan football head coach was characterized by controversies and disciplinary issues, seeing him miss multiple games on suspension. He served a two-game suspension in Week 3 and Week 4 of this season for his part in the Connor Stalions scandal.
He would’ve served an additional one-game suspension at the start of next season had he not been fired by the Wolverines on Wednesday.
On the field, Sherrone Moore was still in the process of finding consistent success at Ann Arbor. He compiled a 17-8 record over two seasons in charge of Michigan, losing his last game in charge to rival Ohio State.
