Steve Borden Jr. the son of legendary wrestler Sting made his AEW debut this week. The star wrestled Kiran Grey in a dark match before Winter is Coming.
Sting is a wresling icon and a WWE Hall of Famer. After making a name for himself in WCW and TNA Wrestling, The Icon showed up in WWE in 2014. He had a high profile WrestleMania match against Triple H before facing Seth Rollins at Night of Champions for the WWE Championship. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame the following year. Over the last four years, the veteran wrestler has been a prominent feature of the AEW roster. In fact, he retired from active competition last year, after winning his retirement match.
In a recent report, Fightful Select shared that the two stars will run it back again, this time for DEFY. Steven Borden Jr. will once again take to the ring against Kiran Grey on December 28 at DEFY Ender. The event will take place at The Lodge Room at Highland Park in Los Angeles. This is the same promotion where Borden Jr. made his wrestling debut last month.
Sting recently spoke about his Convention Retirement tour
During a recent interview with Going Ringside, the legendary wrestler spoke about his Convention retirement tour. He shared that it was a blessing to meet with his fans and connect with them.
The WCW veteran detailed that he was feeling blessed speaking with fans and getting to know about how his work influenced them in different ways.
“It’s been a massive blessing to me, that’s for sure. I mean, I can’t tell you how many stories that I get to hear. That’s what this seems to be about, is stories. I’m hearing fans tell me stories about how I affected them or how wrestling affected them way back when.”
Sting noted that pro wrestling was always about stories, and he was hearing some incredible stories from his fans.
