“Pray for Sherrone’s wife & kids. Because he couldn’t control his lust, he is in danger of losing his family and has caused unbearable hurt,” Root wrote.
Root also urged fans to pray for the coach’s redemption amid the atrocities he’s committed. He believes the coach has failed to uphold his home and work responsibilities.
“Pray for Sherrone. Pray that he repents and is held accountable for his sexual immorality, breaking of his marriage covenant, devaluing/disrespecting his children, providing a poor example for the young men he was hired to lead at Michigan, as well as allegedly threatening the life of his mistress, himself & allegedly assisting in the killing of the child with his mistress he allegedly impregnated.
Jon Root says Sherrone Moore’s mistress should be held accountable
Jon Root further noted in his post on Thursday that while Sherrone Moore has to suffer the consequences of his actions, he shouldn’t be alone in it. The analyst believes the same should go with his mistress, Paige Shiver, whom he believes has been immoral and corrupt in her deeds.
“Sherrone’s mistress, Paige Shiver, needs to be held accountable for her own sexual immorality and should repent,” Root wrote. “She knowingly slept with a married man & used his status to make a higher salary and receive undeserved promotions at the Univeristy of Michigan.
“From secret sexual sin, to cover ups, to assault allegations & now, Sherrone Moore’s arrest… This is an awful situation that should grieve and anger anyone that hears about it.”
By getting fired with cause, Sherrone Moore won’t be due for any severance payment from Michigan. It’s also not the first time he’s been involved in a scandal in Ann Arbor. He was suspended by the university last season for his involvement in the 2023 sign-stealing scandal.
