Marco Andretti shares update on major health scare
Marco Andretti announced his retirement in late October. Just weeks after announcing retirement, the 38-year-old shared a health update on social media. Marco revealed how he got a colonoscopy done when a polyp was found, which was successfully removed. The former IndyCar driver shared an image from the hospital bed with a caption that read,
“The combination of side abdominal pain from my 10 herniated discs in my back and my cousin John’s #checkit4andretti initiative led me to get an early colonoscopy. I am glad I did 7-10 years early as polyp was found and taken out. Just an appreciation post for my cousin and maybe a nudge for you to #checkit4andretti yourself for early detection.”
CheckIt4Andretti is a charitable foundation run by Mario Andretti’s nephew, John Andretti, with the aim of preventing colorectal cancer by early detection.
