John Cena is in the final year of his career. His last match will take place at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLII against Gunther, and fans are expecting this showdown to deliver.
Thousands of fans worldwide are going to tune into Gunther vs. Cena. The Cenation Leader is a legend, and he is going to be immensely missed after he hangs up his boots. Unfortunately, Triple H has booked his retirement run poorly. It is uncertain if the upcoming edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event will be flawless.
AEW Collision: Winter is Coming is scheduled to take place a few hours before The Cenation leader’s final match, and Tony Khan has many tools to outshine All Elite Wrestling’s rival promotion.
Here are three ways Khan can outshine John Cena’s final match at SNME:
#3. Swerve Strickland brutally destroys Josh Alexander
Swerve Strickland recently returned to All Elite Wrestling after being sidelined for months because of an injury. The Realest looks way more focused and dangerous than before, and he evidently wants to become AEW World Champion again.
On the latest episode of Collision, he had a confrontation with The Don Callis Family’s Josh Alexander. Eventually, Tony Khan booked a match between the duo for Collision: Winter is Coming.
The New Flavor might destroy the former TNA World Champion during their match next week. He might unleash a side of himself that fans have never seen before and leave Alexander in a pool of blood. This would be a shocking moment and would put World Champion Samoa Joe on notice.
#2. Dakota Kai makes her AEW debut
Former WWE star Dakota Kai was released by the Stamford-based company earlier this year. She has not entered the squared circle since, and many fans want her to start wrestling again. The 37-year-old is an amazing in-ring competitor, and any company in the world would be lucky to acquire her services.
Kai recently revealed on her Twitch stream that she is not done with professional wrestling.
“I miss wrestling, you guys. We’re gonna get back into it. It’s just one of those things where it has been nice to have a little bit of a break. I have been doing it for a long time. Longer than the last seven years that I was in WWE. You know what I mean? It is nice to take a step back for a while, but I really do miss it,” Kai said. [H/T: Sports Illustrated]
Tony Khan might have already signed the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. She might make her debut in the company on Collision: Winter is Coming.
#1. “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard turns heel
AEW star “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard and Daniel Garcia were initially close friends. However, Garcia turned heel and joined The Death Riders. The former WWE star was disappointed and furious at The Red Death due to his actions. However, something shocking could happen next week.
Garcia is going to challenge Mark Briscoe for the AEW TNT Championship on Collision: Winter is Coming. Magic might unexpectedly show up and attack Briscoe and cost him his title. He could also join The Death Riders, making the potential betrayal one of the most shocking heel turns in AEW history.
