Liverpool are prepared to part ways with centre-back Ibrahima Konate in January if they receive around Â£15 million, according to Football Insider.

The Frenchman will enter the final six months of his contract next month and he has shown no desire to put pen to paper on a new long-term deal.

Konate is open to pursuing a new challenge on a free transfer next summer, but the Reds have not ruled out a mid-season sale of the ex-Leipzig man.

They are willing to offload him for Â£15m if they can find a suitable replacement. Marc Guehi was the top target last summer, but the Englishman is likely to stay put for the season with Crystal Palace.

Like Konate, the Palace skipper will enter the last six months of his deal at the turn of the year, but he is fully committed to the south London outfit and will make way on a Bosman deal when the season ends.
