India wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson marked his seventh wedding anniversary with wife Charulatha Remesh by sharing a few unseen pictures on Monday, December 22. To commemorate the occasion, the 31-year-old shared a series of photos on Instagram along with a heartfelt message.
He captioned the post:
“MY SuperStar 🌟☺️Happy anniversary to MY SuperSpecial. #aahakalyanam😍.”
On the cricketing front, Samson was last seen in action during the five-match home T20I series against South Africa. The opener featured only in the final game in Ahmedabad, where he scored 37 off 22 balls. India went on to win the match by 30 runs after posting a total of 231, thereby clinching the series 3-1.
The star batter will next turn out in the 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy, scheduled to begin on Wednesday, December 24. He has been named in Kerala’s squad, which includes: Rohan Kunnummal (captain), Vishnu Vinod (wicketkeeper), Mohammed Azharuddeen (wicketkeeper), Ahmed Imran, Salman Nizar, Biju Narayanan, Abhishek J. Sanju Samson named in India’s squad for 2026 T20 World Cup
On Saturday, December 20, the BCCI announced India’s 15-member squad for the 2026 T20 World Cup, scheduled to begin on February 7. Sanju Samson was selected as the first-choice wicketkeeper, while vice-captain Shubman Gill was dropped due to poor form. Axar Patel was named Suryakumar Yadav’s deputy.
Samson has featured in 52 T20Is, scoring 1,032 runs at an average of 25.80 and a strike rate of 148.06, including three fifties and three hundreds.
