Manchester United and Chelsea are battling to land the signature of Koln winger Said El Mala at the end of the campaign, according to journalist Dean Jones.
The German youth international has made a huge impression for Koln since their top-flight return. He has bagged six goals and three assists in just 14 appearances this campaign.
His progress has led to speculation that he could pursue a bigger challenge soon and reports claim that he could be prised away from Koln for around €30-35 million.
United and Chelsea are said to be keen on landing his signature, but a move could be complex due to the player’s close relationship with his brother Malek El Mala.
The 20-year-old plays as a striker for Koln reserves. Said shares a fond bond with him. He won’t leave Koln unless the interested club is keen on signing his brother too.
This was a prime reason why he rejected Borussia Dortmund last year.
